Department of Intelligent Software

Our department is pleased to offer a master's program in intelligent software, established through collaboration between Sungkyunkwan University and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

Intelligent software is an interdisciplinary field that focuses on technologies that can understand user and contextual information in different situations and make decisions using Artificial Intelligence. It comprises several areas including machine learning, data science, software engineering, and system software.

There is currently a growing need for experts in intelligent software, but domestic companies are struggling to secure talent due to a lack of skilled professionals in the country. To address this and to keep pace with international standards in software and artificial intelligence, our department has worked with Samsung Electronics to design structured curriculums aimed at developing high-level talent.

Students enrolled in the program will have the chance to participate in research alongside world-class professors and professionals in the software and AI field. They will also have opportunities to attend conferences related to intelligent software, visit prominent software and AI companies, and be a part of global projects at Samsung Electronics. Upon graduation, they will contribute to the development of the nation's software industry as advanced developers and researchers at Samsung Electronics.

Our department will continuously innovate and keep up with the latest technology trends in education and research. Furthermore, based on academic rigor and practicality in the industry, our students will grow into globally competitive talents in the market. To achieve this vision, our department will collaborate with Samsung Electronics and make our utmost efforts.
